HALF AND HALF SARIS

HALF AND HALF SARIS CONCEPT:-

These are the saris nowadays trending everywhere in India .These saris are called as half and half sari due to its two divided pattern pallu in one section and patli in one section.All saris seen today are mostly half and half sari.These two sections of saris  have difference in their fabric ,and colour ,or prints highlighting,and borders used differently .

These saris are made in such manner that both the sections look  continous and gives very beautiful look to the saris.Half and half saris are mostly made up of combination of fabrics like net and velvet,geortte and silk and many others.Different  colours and different prints are used in different different concepts in these saris.

There are many half and half pattern saris are available some of these are :-

    The kali style half and half saris:-These type of saris looks like lehenga  saree  but it must be in two different fabric or colour.

    Cutwork half and half saris:-These are the saris have lots of cuts like pattern in pallu and plain or other pattern at the drape section.or it should be vice versa cuts at the drape section and plain at pallu section.

    3-sectional half and half saris:-These  are the saris which have three different –different  fabrics or colour or prints used in it.

BANDHANI SARIS

Bandhani saris are also known as bandhej sari.these saris mainly found in Gujarat and rajasthan. These sarees have thousands of dots or spot like structures on it. Besides dots, square, waves and stripes are also produced.These designs must be of colored fabric or uncolored fabric.

These dots have different-different names according to their size, such as Very small spots without a dark centre are called bindi, kori for a tear-drop shape; chundadi for round spots and ghatadi for square.

Bandhani saris mainly include yellow,orange , maroon ,red and green colour.These saris mostly are of single base colour . The material used to make  these sars include cotton, Gajji silk, muslin, fur etc. . It is a traditional attire for Hindu and Jains females. Golden and silver zari work is done on these saris to make it look more beautiful and to give it heavy look for wedding attire

One should wear these saris with plain blouse for new and different look.Many females wear these saris as their daily basis , because of its lightweight and softness these saris are more comfortable . The color of saris represents the event that it is worn on. For example: A red colored one is worn during wedding or similar social functions. BANARISI SARIS

 BANARASI SARI: This One of the most beautiful Indian saree made in Banaras now known as Varanasi. Saris from Banaras are considered as one of the finest saris in India and specially known for heavy work of gold and silver brocade or zari and embroidery,because of these engravings, are relatively heavy.

 Banarasi sarees are not only a traditional attire, but a symbol of pride, happiness,union, and celebration for Indian women.This sari has a strong Mughal influence in its design and is a must for a bride. The intricate intertwining floral and foliate motifs, kalga and bel are usually found in the weaving.

A characteristic found along the inner, and sometimes outer, edge of borders is a narrow fringe like pattern like a string of upright leaves called jhalar. This is a signature of Banarasi brocade. 

Depending on the intricacy of its designs and patterns, a sari can take from 15 days to a month and sometimes up to six months to complete.There are four main varieties of Banarasi sari, which includes pure silk (Katan), Organza (Kora) with Zari and silk; Georgette, and Shattir, and according to design process, they are divided into categories like, Jangla, Tanchoi, Vaskat, Cutwork, Tissue and Butidar.
                                             

Banarasi saris are mostly worn by Indian women on important occasions such as when attending a wedding and are expected to be complemented by the woman's best jewelry.

NEON SARIS

These are the saris which is trending now. Neon color saris is flooded everywhere in india especially in bollywood.nowadays neon color saris are on very high demand .Everyone loves to wear  these sari,once.Wearing a neon color is fun ,bold way to inject some serious  color into your wardrobe .

TANT SARIS

TANT SARI:-
Tant saris are found in west Bengal,india .tant saris are pride of Bengal.these saris are made up of cotton and very  famous for its lightness  and transparency .due to which ,these saris are suitable for hot and humid climate of india.

Womens wear these saris as their daily basis .as these saris are for daily basis their cost is also not so high .lowest cost of these saris are 350rs.tants saris, are found in varieties of colours and motifs on it.tants saris has thick border and creative pattern drawn on it.

Some of traditional motifs found on tant saris are : bhomra , tabij , rajmahal , ardha-chandra , chandmala, ansh , hathi , nilambari , ratan chokh , benki , tara , kalka and phool .

As modern trend is increasing everywhere  and also the taste of the people are changing  day by day ,so the tant saris are introduce with some new patterns and hand painted designs. . A variation of the traditional tant has zari work woven into the borders and pallav along the patterns of a Banarasi silk saree giving rise to the ‘tant banarasi’ saree.

Tant sarees can be classified based on the region where they are woven, or the motifs depicted on the sarees. The major regions of tant production in West Bengal today are fulia ,shantipur,dhaniakhali,begampur,kalna and atpur. 

SHEER SARIS

SHEER SARIS:-

These saris are transparent and light in weight .Most of peoples called it as net saris.these saris  are made up of fabrics like georgette ,net,chiffon,organza etc.As these saris have transpency pattern ,they are best suited for hot and humid climate.These saris are one of the hottest trend in recent times.

Sheer saris are not a new trend ,it is a very old trend in india ,as well as in foreign.Sheer saris are almost found in everyone’s  wardrobe .These saris look very good and give very bold and hot look to the person.These saris are made for marriages as well as normal functions also.

Lehenga sari  are the new type of sari introduced in india  .These saris look like normal legenga choli or ghangra but it is a sari . This is an artistic combination of the traditional saree and a lehenga choli. These saris are are too wear with petticoat as like normal saris .Lehenga saris are very easy too wear , as it do not require to make pleats in them . These saris are also term as ready made saris .

These saris are embroidered with various rich embroidery like  silver embroidery, golden embroidery, metal beads, real pearls, wood beads, glass beads, mirror work, lace work, Kundan, sequins, glittering stones, zardozi, etc. Fabrics used in these saris mostly are silk, georgette, brasso, brocade, chiffon, crepe, etc.

Lehenga saris are wear in party and marriage too.Due to which demand for lehenga saris are increasing day by day.Many of bollywood celebrities had wear these saris and look gorgeous.actress Sushmita sen has promoted these saris .Many of womens choose lehenga saris for their marriage attire ,as it has different look and heavy work is done on it .Lehenga sari has zip aur hook so that it nicely fit to ones waist

PAITHANI SARIS

PAITHANI SARIS:-

Paithani saris are very famous  saris found  in Maharashtra.paithani saris are woven by hand.these saris are made from silk and zari.a very expensive silk threads are used to make these saris . these silks are charkha,ciddle-gatta  and china silk.

Paithani saris are of three types depending upon its motifs,colours and weaving .paithani saris has different-different names according to their colours such as  Kalichandrakala: pure black sari with red border, Raghu: parrot green coloured sari, Shirodak: pure white sari.

  In olden days these saris have gold and copper pallu, but later on  pallu of these saris are woven by zari,which is made up of silver and gold plated. Pallu borders of these saris have its specific motifs and patterns such as Muniya, Panja,Barwa, Laher, Muthada, Asawali, and Mor.

Motifs found in these saris are Kamal , Hans, Ashraffi , Asawalli (flowering vines), Bangadi Mor, Tota-Maina, Humarparinda, Amar Vell, Narali.Other motifs like circles, stars, kuyri, rui phool, kalas pakhhli, chandrakor, clusters of 3 leaves,were very common for the body of saris.

These saris are found in various colours such as yellow,Red,Lavender,Purple, sky blue,Magenta, peach pink, purple,Pearl pink, blue/green,Yellowish green,violet red,red and green, black and white, black and red.

These saris are one of the best option for maharashtrian womens .
