HALF AND HALF SARIS

BANDHANI SARIS
Bandhani saris are also known as bandhej sari.these
saris mainly found in Gujarat and rajasthan. These
sarees have thousands of dots or spot like structures on it. Besides dots,
square, waves and stripes are also produced.These designs must be of colored
fabric or uncolored fabric.
Bandhani saris mainly

BANARISI SARIS
BANARASI SARI: This One of the most beautiful Indian saree made in Banaras now known as Varanasi.
Saris from Banaras are considered as one of the finest saris in India and
specially known for heavy work of gold and silver brocade or zari and
embroidery,because
of these engravings, are relatively heavy.
Banarasi
sarees are not only a traditional attire, but a symbol
of pride, happiness,union, and celebration for Indian women.This sari has a strong Mughal
influence in its design and is a must for a bride. The intricate intertwining
floral and foliate motifs, kalga and bel are usually found in the weaving.
A
characteristic found along the inner, and sometimes outer, edge of borders is a
narrow fringe like pattern like a string of upright leaves called jhalar. This
is a signature of Banarasi brocade.
Depending on the intricacy of its designs and patterns, a sari can take from 15 days to a month and sometimes up to six months to complete.There are four main varieties of Banarasi sari, which includes pure silk (Katan), Organza (Kora) with Zari and silk; Georgette, and Shattir, and according to design process, they are divided into categories like, Jangla, Tanchoi, Vaskat, Cutwork, Tissue and Butidar.
Banarasi saris are mostly worn by Indian women on important occasions such as when attending a wedding and are expected to be complemented by the woman's best jewelry.

PAITHANI SARIS:-
Paithani saris are
very famous saris found in Maharashtra.paithani saris are woven by
hand.these saris are made from silk and zari.a very expensive silk threads are
used to make these saris . these silks are charkha,ciddle-gatta and china silk.
Paithani saris are
of three types depending upon its motifs,colours and weaving .paithani saris
has different-different names according to their colours such as Kalichandrakala: pure black sari with red
border, Raghu: parrot green coloured sari, Shirodak: pure white sari.
In olden
days these saris have gold and copper pallu, but later on pallu of these saris are woven by zari,which is
made up of silver and gold plated. Pallu borders of these saris have its specific motifs and
patterns such as Muniya, Panja,Barwa, Laher, Muthada, Asawali, and Mor.
Motifs found in these
saris are Kamal , Hans, Ashraffi , Asawalli (flowering vines),
Bangadi Mor, Tota-Maina, Humarparinda, Amar Vell, Narali.Other motifs like circles,
stars, kuyri, rui phool, kalas pakhhli, chandrakor, clusters of 3 leaves,were
very common for the body of saris.
These saris are found in
various colours such as yellow,Red,Lavender,Purple, sky blue,Magenta, peach
pink, purple,Pearl pink, blue/green,Yellowish green,violet red,red and green,
